The Investor View
Shows the potential impact of a Ponzi Scheme for 22 years on the investor. Also shows the results if the money had been invested in a common market index.
Notes:
Assumes all deposits received at the beginning of the year and all disbursements made at the end of the year.
The mirror comparison assumes the same deposits and disbursements as the Ponzi scheme. If the mirror account is exhausted, then the cash flows are funded with a loan and the interest is added to the loan amount. No loan repayments are shown in the model.
The Operator View
Since there are many factors that impact the operation of a Ponzi scheme, the model allows for changes to the major factors of its operations. The model allows an optional investment of the operators balance in the S&P 500
